Welcome and thank you for joining me here on my website. My name is Lauren and I'm an artist, photographer, content strategist, design whiz, conceptual creator, marketing magician & killer storyteller.
My passions include art, design, photography, writing, animals (horses in particular) farm life, food, and let's go ahead and admit craft beer too (the darker the better). I'm an outdoorsy gal who loves hiking, water sports, and trail running (or very, very slow jogging)
I specialize in landscape and plein air painting and portrait photography. By weekday I am a senior consultant with a wide skill set of graphic design, content marketing, writing, marketing strategy, business development, communications, and sales, along with social media planning.
By night and on weekends I am an artist working on commission artwork, planning solo exhibitions, and scheduling photography sessions for newborns, children, families, high school and college seniors, and newly engaged couples.
Aside from that, I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, and THE fun aunt. I am a farm enthusiast taking care of our farm in Nesbit, MS, nurturing our dogs, horses, orchard, and vegetable garden. I secretly aspire to sell our homegrown goods at our local Farmers Market!
Below is my interview with Kacky Walton on WKNO Checking on the Arts. We discussed my past solo exhibition, Fusion, but it also gives reference to my artistic process and my inspirations:
03 stories to tell
The Art of Creating blog highlights several passions of mine. Not only is it where I share my personal stories of recent projects and my mother's stroke survival story, but I also highlight other Women in Art in my hometown community, the Greater Memphis Area.
I believe everything good has a story to tell so please take the time to subscribe to my site and stay up-to-date on my projects, my mother's survival journey, and other, amazing, female artists in our community.
