Farm session with the Wrights

Do you ever meet someone and you instantly click with them? That's how it was when the Wright family pulled up for their mini session this past Saturday. When Lucy got out of the car she was sporting a pearl cat-eared headband. For starters, I am a cat lady so I would rock a cat ear headband now as a 37-year-old. But secondly, Lucy's mom, Jessica, was totally cool with her daughter's cat ears for family portraits. This instantly told me our session was going to be fun, relaxed and they'd be up for anything.

We started our session by the silos, worked our way to the pond but then I realized the sun was in its perfect golden hour. This is my favorite time of the day to take photos. I asked if they were ok with venturing into the horse pasture and of course, they were. That's where some of the best portraits took place. Gage, my horse, was quietly grazing strategically behind the Wrights, while Josie, the new mustang on the farm, was hiding in the corner. The sun was setting and it became one of the most fun sessions of the day. Take a look at Jessica, Drew, Lucy, and Carlisle's fabulous sneak peek!
